Helping create miracles with love and compassion.

What is infertility?

Infertility is defined as being unable to achieve pregnancy after one year if a woman is under 35 years of age, and after six months if a woman is over 35 years of age. One in six couples have experienced trouble getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term.

Pregnancy is not as simple as many people imagines. In fact, in any given month, a perfectly healthy couple only has a 15-18% chance of conceiving. Furthermore, approximately 7.4 million women in the U.S. experience infertility. It is important to note that infertility diagnoses are split evenly between men and women. Therefore, you are not alone in your fertility journey.

What are the common causes of infertility?

Age:

Fertility declines naturally as women age. A healthy 30-year-old woman has about a 25%—30% chance of getting pregnant naturally each month. A healthy 40-year-old woman has a 10% or lower chance of getting pregnant naturally each month.

  • Weight (being significantly
    under- or overweight)

  • Male partner’s drug use
